How about hymns?

Do you know of anyone else that literally thousands of songs were written about and people have been singing them for hundreds, some thousands of years? Every week around the world in hundreds of languages people sing about the Lord Jesus Christ. Who do you sing about?

How about books written about Him?

Again, do you know of anyone else who had thousands of books written about them?  There is a short list under the book corner and with time will grow.

And of course there is THE BOOK (see the book corner also). Space does not permit me to write all there is to write about the Bible, God’s Word. I encourage you to get a Bible (King James Bible 1611 Authorized Version) and read it for yourself. It’s not just a book, it is a spiritually discerned book and without the Holy Spirit giving you light on what you are reading you won’t understand much. However, if you are searching for the truth and ask the Lord to help you and you  have an open heart, he will show you!

What about the prophecies in the Bible?

Do you know of anyone else who has had their birth, life and death prophesied hundreds of years ahead of time and then the prophesy came true? Here are but a few:

Prophecy:                   Birthplace – Mi 5:2 (…yet out of thee shall he come forth…)

Fulfillment:               – Mt. 2:1 (Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem……)

Prophesy:                  Born of a Virgin – Is 7:14 (….Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel

Fulfillment:               – Mt. 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph,                                                                            before   they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Prophesy:                  His triumphal Entry –

Zec. 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; behold thy King cometh unto thee: he is  just,  and having salvation; lowly and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.

Fulfillment:             Jn. 12:12 –  Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat theron: as it is written.

Prophesy:             Betrayed by a friend

Ps. 41:0 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.

Mk. 14:10 – As said unto them, what will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

Prophecy:           Hands and Feet pierced

Prophecy:           Prays for His enemies:

Prophecy:          His Side to be pierced –

Prophecy:        Not a bone to be broken

Prophecy:       His Resurrection

Prophecy:      His Ascension

Prophecy:      His Return

Will be fulfilled:

How about Calvary?

The place where our Lord Jesus Christ gave His life willingly on the cross, shed His precious blood for our sins, so that we can be saved and spend eternity in heaven with Him. “But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more than being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom 5:8-9

What about the empty tomb?

“He is risen as he said” Can you say that of anyone else? All religious leaders are dead – there is a place where they are buried and their bones are still there. Not so with Jesus Christ – the tomb is empty, He arose!

What about Christmas and Easter?

I realize that the world tries to X Christ out of Christmas and replace Him with Santa Claus, but however much they try, the fact still remains that Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem and that He is still the reason for the season, if you please. The same with Easter, the world tries to erase the empty tomb and replace it with bunnies and eggs – but the fact still remains that “He is risen as He said” and without the resurrection there would be no Christianity!

What about all the persecution and religious wars?

Millions of people have been persecuted and killed because they believe what the Bible says about the only way to get to heaven is through Jesus Christ and the finished work on Calvary. The Bible is a forbidden book in many countries right now! Why? Why would someone try to force another person to believe in their religion and kill them if they do not? We, as believers want others to come to know the truth and we give out the gospel, or the Good News to as many people as we can. What you do with the information is strictly between you and God!!! We would never think of persecuting anyone because they don’t believe as we do. God has given us a free will, the choice to accept Jesus Christ’s gift of salvation or to reject it is yours and yours alone! We live in the United States of America, it is still a free country – free because our Forefathers fought for our freedom with a great price! This great nation was founded on the Bible and our leaders were men that believed in God and prayed for their country.  There are many books written on this subject! I’m not a big TV watcher, but I do like to read, so I encourage you to get a Bible and some good books and take the time to read.

How about the testimonies of millions of people who once were lost, but by the mercy of God got saved and had a new start in life. These people come from all kinds of backgrounds and every nation, race and religion! (See about them)

What about the thousands of missionaries around the world?

There are thousands of missionaries around the world proclaiming the “Good News” in hundreds of languages – why would someone leave their country, oftentimes their family and go to a strange place, learn a new language and tell people about the Lord Jesus Christ? Because God called them to go “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel…” and they that love the Lord and love souls are willing to go. However, the blessings far outweigh the “sacrifice” if you will. How do I know? From personal experience when the Lord made me an offer to return to my own country in Germany and tell my people about Him. The details are under “my story”

Well, if you took the time to read “my story” then you will realize that without Him I would not have a story to tell, neither would anyone else.

I have heard people say  “how could a loving God send anyone to hell?”

So, I would like to let the Lord with His own words answer this question.

I love to read different sayings, and one of them is this one:

“You can give without loving, but you can’t love without giving.”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

 John 3:16

I remember reading this poem on a plate at our house:

“Das schoenste aber hier auf Erden is lieben und geliebt zu werden.” (the most beautiful thing on this earth is to love and to be loved)

Amen to that! I’ve not had much experience with it until I met the Lord! When I read the story about a woman at a well who had five husbands and the man she was living with was not her husband, and yet Jesus spoke with her and offered her his love, I was so amazed, because it was similar to my past.

I read this verse and it is still in my heart: “But God commendeth his love toward us in while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Rom 5:8-9

“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.” John 15:9

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” John 15:12-13

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or nakedness, or peril or sword? Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  “ Rom 8:37-39

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to be propitiation for our sins. “ I John 4:9-10

And there are many more, but this is one of my favorite ones:

“We love him, because he first loved us.” I John 4:18

I hope this will be a Blessing to you as you realize that God loves you!

There is so much hatred and violence in this world, it’s really sad, because it  could be so wonderful, if we could learn to love God and love one another!

The time is drawing nearer to the Lord’s return – we do not know the day and the hour, but we can discern the signs of the times! We do not date His return, but we do try to warn as many people as we can that He is coming back! He will rule and reign on this earth for 1,000 years. Many other leaders have tried and failed miserably, but He will not fail!  Before He returns however, this world will experience what the Bible calls the tribulation.

The Bible is up-to-date! Watch the news and watch Israel, God’s chosen people.
