Working from home applying biblical principles

Someone asked me the other day what I base my website on when I say that I apply biblical principles.

Here are some answers, in case you have the same question.

1. Forget your past failures!

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,”

It’s time to put past failures where they belong – in the past! If you can’t do anything to change the situation, forget it, and move forward! The same is true with business. You may have run into scams, been lied to, cheated out of money, deceived by smooth words,  and ………………(you fill in the blank) however, if you want to be the breadwinner,  don’t stay there, get up and try again.

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up.

The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” -Thomas Edison

2. Being honest – having a good reputation.

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.”

There are so many “gurus”  and coaching programs, so-called in the internet world, and unfortunately a lot of them don’t have a good name – it’s all about money! I have experienced first-hand such a program already out of Utah that promised me to prosper, and after I cancelled their program I lost a good amount of money, but they were prospering by it! So be very careful and check out a name before you join their coaching or program!

3. Work hard

Whether you work with your hands or your head – it’s all work!

“….that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”

After all, this is called WORK from home opportunity! For you to become one of the breadwinners from home, you must realize that there is no “free lunch”, it does involve a lot of hard work to make money online. If you come across a website that promises you to make thousands of dollars without working at it, you may as well leave the site before you get scammed!

4. Stay out of debt

“He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it: and he that hateth suretiship is sure.”

It is so easy to get a credit card and then pile on the debts. When you read people’s testimonies often time they’ll say that they were thousands of dollars in debt. I have been there myself years ago and it’s not a good feeling! Be careful of what you spend. It’s best not to buy anything when you first start working online, there is a lot of free information available. Once you know a little bit what you’re doing, then join a reputable coach! There are still some out there:)

5. Don’t be selfish, give to others

“To whom much is given, much is required”

If you get into the Internet Marketing business just to have a lot of money and buy a mansion and a fancy cars, then I feel bad for you. Guess what, you can’t take it with you! There is nothing wrong with having a nice home and car and being able to go on vacations, but there is more to life than that! Don’t forget the people you met along the way that are also struggling, and now that you made it, remember them and help them! It’s a wonderful feeling to be able to help someone in need, or to send money to a good cause. So don’t be selfish, remember others and give with a cheerful attitude:)

7.  Use your time wisely!

“….For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”

You only have 24 hours each day and it is precious time and cannot be replaced, so stop wasting your time and invest it wisely!

What are some time wasters?

  • Surfing the internet
  • Facebook (staying there too long)
  • Twitter (same thing)
  • playing games online
  • reading emails
  • chatting online
  • joining program after program

I’m sure there are a lot more, but just concentrate on one thing at a time;

  • give yourself a time limit for various projects you want to do.
  •  Make yourself a list with goals
  •  Short-term goals as well as long-term goals.
  •  Keep your inbox nearly empty!

Tell others when you have found something that’s good and that truly works!

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth….”

When I first got saved back in 1983 I told everyone that I knew (and many that I didn’t:) about the Lord, and about what had happened to me. I was a happy woman, I was finally free (from bondage).  I knew that I had something that was real, and I wanted to tell others about it, so they could have this too. It’s still good to this day! I recommend it highly!

The same holds true for a business. When you have found an opportunity that is legitimate and it really works, by all means, tell others about it, so they too can have the freedom they have been longing for.

These are only a few of the biblical principles that I try to base my business on as well as my life. I have found that life goes a lot better when we apply these principles, whether you are a Christian or not. I hope that this has been a blessing to you.

“Tis only one life, t’will soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last”
